As it was VE day this week it seemed appropriate to upload a consequence of the end of WWII for my Friday photo. Taken last time I was in Berlin, in 2003.
On a completely different note, the radio (and pretty much everyone else) is reporting that Manchester United (aka Merchandising United) has been bought by an evil American leprechaun, to the consternation of thousands of Filipino/Korean/Mongolian fans worldwide. Cue great wailing and gnashing of teeth.
According to one caller to BBC Radio Five this morning, Glazer should rename the club 'the Salford Quays Buccaneers'. Couldn't happen to a nicer team.
