The Newcastle Playhouse Theatre, currently closed for renovation. The last thing I saw there was a David Mamet (one of the writers I most admire, with Michel Houellebecq, William S. Burroughs, I could go on pretty much indefinitely here) play a couple of years ago. The Playhouse also used to be a great place for lunch, or a coffee after work.
