Pearl Assurance House
It's largely empty I think. It's a bit of a concrete monstrosity, but it's somehow less horrible than the other ones in this part of town.

Starbucks
On my recent trip to Vancouver and Seattle (the home of Starbucks) there were lots of Starbucks type coffee shops called 'Seattle's Best Coffee'. Often a very short walk from branches of Starbucks. So who owns these rival shops? Erm, Starbucks.

Free Trade
A good pub in Newcastle, a short walk from the Quayside. It has strange opening hours and it looks dodgy from the outside, but it's a good place for a pint.

Blue Door
Near Morrisons supermarket on Shields Road, Byker - the tag on the door says 'Cron', I think.
